About
This blog is one man’s quest to enjoy root beer. I plan on seeking them out, consuming them, and sharing them with you. All 4 or 5 of you who might actually care. Maybe. Anyway, I started loving root beer when I was a little kid and my Dad would buy either Hires or A&W for my brother and I at the local country store. There is no better taste than a frostly glass-bottled root beer with bits of ice floating in it…
Why “Monthly” Root Beer? Well, I don’t drink Root Beer every day. I also may not drink it every week. And quite frankly, there aren’t that many of them out there. Unless you can help me find ones!

Hi.
Have you tried “Bundaberg Ginger Beer” -one of the best root beers, but hard to come by!
I haven’t tried the Ginger Beer, but I have had the root beer. I agree that it’s fantastic!
Jay,
Great site. Enjoyed reading your reviews. Keep up the good work. Check out my root beer review site when you have a chance. http://rootbeerrundown.blogspot.com .
Just followed you on Twitter as well.

Jay, Have you tried Wild Bill’s Root Beer? Send me an email if you are interested.
Thanks!
Great to find your page. For the last 4 years, my family has had a Christmas Eve Root Beer Tasting. We used to have a wine tasting, but with the kids, we wanted to include them, too and it has become a tradition.
It is my responsibility to find new Root Beers every year. Your blog has given me some ideas for this year. Here are a couple of our “winners” I didn’t see on your blog that you should try:
- Lost Trails Root Beer (from Louisburg, KS). Tangy Root Beer.
- Henry Weinhard’s Root Beer (very creamy and rich!)
Keep up the good work!
Thanks, your suggestions look quite interesting! I’ll have to scout them out, as soon as I work my way through the fridge full…
